Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG) is the voice of the voiceless and a recognised human rights defender. It is a proactive non-governmental organisation (NGO) established in 2005 with a mission to provide integrated, personalised, professional services for victims of crime. SVSG protects and promotes the rights of women, children and vulnerable populations, specifically their right to be free from abuse.

Initially set up to care, support, and help victims of sexual crimes, SVSG saw after the first few cases it handled that victims of other areas also sought to get help. As such, work was extended to embrace survivors of all forms of violence.

The initiatives driven by our phenomenal President and CEO Lina Chang have seen SVSG develop stability, strength, and a game-changing force to be reckoned with, both in Samoa and overseas where countless victims of crime have received help.

SVSG believes that greater awareness of human rights will provide civil society with the knowledge to ensure these rights are upheld. SVSG continues to work hard with the help of its sponsors, partners, and volunteers to build safer families and stronger communities in Samoa. A strong, proud and successful community does not tolerate any form of violence against women and children. Together, we can ensure victims and survivors are well-supported, safe, and in control of restoring their lives.

HARMONIES OF HOPE MUSIC VIDEO
In the month of May, the inaugural music video for the Campus of Hope was brought to life by the unwavering dedication of SVSG Youth and the generous support of Uso Entertainment. It stands as a powerful testament to the resilience and courage of our children.
“Listen to the plea of our children, hear their story, and know that they are survivors, they are champions”, President Siliniu.
