

Anoamaa 2, Samoa – 08/21/2025 – The Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG) is proud to announce the successful signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with seven villages from the Anoamaa 2 constituency.
Supported by a four-year project funded under the United Nations Trust Fund, this initiative aims to enhance local village ownership, improve project implementation, and promote positive social change within the seven villages governed by their village councils.
This joint effort is designed to empower communities to actively lead efforts in changing negative social norms, advancing gender equality, and protecting vulnerable members. By working together, SVSG, the Fono Faavae, and Hon. Fonotoe Pierre Lauofo Meredith seek to create lasting impact through community ownership and participation.
Key Objectives
• Strengthen partnership and shared responsibility among SVSG, the Fono Faavae, and village councils.
• Promote local ownership of project activities, messages, and outcomes.
• Support effective, sustainable, and community-led project implementation.
• Drive behavioural and social norm change within the villages.
• Empower women and safeguard vulnerable community members.
• Ensure the sustainability of positive developments beyond the project’s duration.
