11 September 2025: Today, the Tautua Project Workshop for Upolu SVSG Village Representatives was convened at the SDA Falesamoa, Lalovaea, with close to 70 representatives from across the island in attendance.
Our SVSG Village Representatives are the eyes and ears of SVSG in every community, serving as the first point of contact for cases of violence within their villages. They work closely with the SVSG office to ensure timely assistance, especially for the protection of children.
This workshop further equips our village representatives to effectively assist the 51 local district officers in addressing violence, while strengthening their understanding of the Safeguarding Policy as part of our ongoing commitment to child protection.
The Tautua Project is built on a community effort for a safer Samoa, ensuring that together, we remain the voice for those who need help the most.
