Welcome to the President’s Blog
Talofa lava and warm greetings to you all.
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the President’s Blog of Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG).
This platform is an opportunity for me to connect more closely with our supporters, partners, stakeholders, communities and the people of Samoa. Through this blog, I hope to share updates, reflections, important messages and insights into the work we continue to do in protecting children, supporting survivors of violence, empowering women and strengthening families and communities.
At SVSG, our work goes beyond providing services. It is about standing alongside those who are vulnerable, giving a voice to those who may not be heard, restoring hope where there has been pain, and creating safer communities where every child, woman and family can live with dignity, security and respect.
Our journey is made possible through the dedication of our staff and volunteers, the courage of survivors, the commitment of our communities, and the continued support of our local and international partners. For this, I remain deeply grateful.
I believe that meaningful change begins when we listen, understand, work together and remain committed to a shared purpose. This blog will therefore also provide an opportunity to recognise the progress we are making, acknowledge the challenges we face and encourage greater awareness and collective responsibility in addressing violence within our homes and communities.
I invite you to visit this page regularly, engage with our messages and join us in our continued mission of protecting lives, promoting dignity and building a safer Samoa for generations to come.
Together, let us continue to make a difference – one life, one family and one community at a time.
With warm regards and appreciation,
